Working Principle & Operational Process

The pipe shot blasting machine operates on a continuous through-feed cycle designed for uninterrupted heavy-duty industrial pipe manufacturing and coating lines:

1. Automated Infeed & Skew Roller Conveyance: Raw or corroded steel pipes are loaded onto the inlet skew roller conveyor bed. The precision angled conical diabolo rollers drive each pipe forward linearly while continuously rotating it about its longitudinal axis. The conveyor speed is precisely modulated through a Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) from 0.5 to 8.0 m/min to achieve the specified cleanliness and roughness profile.

2. Multi-Turbine High-Velocity Blasting: As the rotating pipe enters the central blast enclosure, high-performance centrifugal blast turbines strategically placed at opposing angles bombard the outer pipe surface with high-hardness cast steel shots (S280/S330/S390) or steel grit (G25/G40). The high kinetic energy thoroughly strips tough mill scale, heavy rust, corrosion pits, and welding flux without damaging the pipe parent metal.

3. Mn13 Cast Manganese Armor Lining: The blast zone is fully protected with replaceable 11–14% high-manganese cast alloy (Mn13) wear liners. Heavy-duty multi-stage flexible hanging rubber curtains at both inlet and discharge vestibules conform to different pipe diameters, trapping abrasive media inside the chamber and ensuring zero shot leakage.

4. High-Efficiency Abrasive Recovery & Separation: Spent abrasive, detached rust flakes, and scale drop into the hopper below the cabinet. A longitudinal screw conveyor feeds the media into a heavy-duty vertical bucket elevator, which lifts it into a rotary drum screen and Air-Wash Separator. Usable abrasive is cleaned of dust and fine particles, then returned to the storage hopper for continuous recycling.

5. Industrial Reverse Pulse-Jet Dust Collector: The machine is kept under negative pressure by a high-capacity pulse-jet cartridge/bag dust extraction system, continuously evacuating airborne dust and maintaining clear internal visibility with emissions well below 10 mg/Nm³.

6. High-Pressure Air Blow-Off & Automatic Ejection: Before exiting the discharge tunnel, high-pressure air blowers purge any loose abrasive resting on top of the pipe surface. Cleaned pipes exit onto the motorized discharge rack where pneumatic kick-off arms transfer them smoothly to the coating line or inspection staging.
