Ltd. is a precision, continuous through-feed surface conditioning system designed specifically for external descaling, rust removal, heat-treatment scale elimination, and fine surface texturing of precision steel tubes, boiler tubes, hydraulic cylinder barrels, automotive drive tubes, shock absorber tubes, mechanical tubing, and stainless steel tubes.

Unlike heavy pipe cleaning equipment, the Tube Shot Blasting Machine is engineered with anti-vibration, precision skew diabolo rollers and finely calibrated abrasive velocity control. This ensures that thin-walled, small-diameter, and high-tolerance tubes are blast cleaned with complete 360-degree uniform surface cleanliness compliant with SA 2.5 and SA 3.0 (ISO 8501-1) standards, without causing tube deflection, bending, wall thinning, or ovality distortion.

Working Principle & Operational Process

The tube shot blasting process is designed for delicate, uniform handling and high continuous productivity:

1. Precision Infeed & Skew Conveyance: Steel tubes are gently transferred from the infeed storage rack onto the motorized skew diabolo roller conveyor bed. The rollers are lined with high-grade polyurethane to prevent metal-to-metal marring and surface scratches. The conical roller geometry simultaneously rotates the tube along its center axis and drives it smoothly forward into the blast enclosure.

2. Calibrated Multi-Turbine Blasting: As the tube rotates through the blast chamber, high-efficiency centrifugal blast turbines deliver a continuous stream of fine abrasive media (steel shots S170/S230 or stainless steel cut wire shots) at regulated impact velocities. The finely calibrated blast pattern rapidly removes mill scale, welding oxidation, and heat-treat discolouration across the entire 360° tube perimeter.

3. Manganese Armor Protection & Soft Sealing: The internal blast cabinet is armored with replaceable 11–14% high-manganese cast alloy (Mn13) liners. Inlet and exit vestibules feature multi-stage soft rubber curtain seals that adapt closely to each tube diameter, preventing abrasive loss while preventing any damage to tube ends.

4. Multi-Stage Air-Wash Abrasive Separation: Spent abrasive falls into the collection hopper and is directed by a longitudinal screw conveyor to a vertical bucket elevator. The elevator discharges media into a double-deck rotary drum screen and Air-Wash Separator, which separates fine dust, scale, and broken particles from usable shots, ensuring consistent abrasive sizing and optimum surface finish.

5. High-Efficiency Reverse Pulse-Jet Dust Collector: A dedicated pulse-jet cartridge dust extraction system maintains negative air pressure across the blast cabinet and elevator, exhausting clean air with particulate emissions below 10 mg/Nm³ in full compliance with environmental safety standards.

6. High-Pressure Air Purge & Soft Landing Outfeed: Before discharging, an automated high-velocity air ring nozzle blows off any residual abrasive clinging to the tube exterior. Cleaned tubes are discharged onto a soft-padded collection rack ready for cold drawing, honing, painting, or galvanizing.
